Brown-Forman has officially unveiled The Glendronach House Editions, a new travel retail-exclusive collection of single malt Scotch whiskies inspired by some of Europe’s most iconic cultural cities.
The new collection, developed by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, introduces three distinct expressions — The Sevillian Room, The Venetian Room, and The Parisian Room — each designed to reflect the character, atmosphere, and cask traditions associated with their respective cities.

The launch marks the first time The Glendronach has introduced a large-scale curated travel retail concept focused specifically on destination-led storytelling and collectible whisky experiences for global travelers. The range is scheduled to debut across major European airports in July 2026, followed by a phased global rollout expected to conclude by October.
According to Brown-Forman GTR, the collection has been inspired by the heritage of The Glendronach distillery and its founder James Allardice, who was known for hosting lavish gatherings and sharing stories of international travel during the 19th century. The company describes the collection as representing the “house of the cultured traveler,” where each whisky expression symbolizes a different destination and experience.
The three whisky expressions feature different cask combinations:
The Sevillian Room matured in Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Palo Cortado casks

The Venetian Room matured in Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Amarone casks

The Parisian Room matured in Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Cognac casks

Each release has been developed exclusively for the travel retail channel and forms part of The Glendronach’s bicentennial celebrations marking 200 years of sherry cask mastery.
Brown-Forman is also supporting the launch through immersive airport retail activations designed around storytelling, tasting experiences, gifting personalization, and interactive educational displays explaining the role of cask maturation in shaping flavour profiles.
Industry analysts note that premium whisky brands are increasingly investing in exclusive travel retail collections as airports continue evolving into experience-driven luxury retail destinations. Destination-inspired storytelling, collectible packaging, and experiential retail concepts are becoming major growth drivers in the premium spirits segment within global travel retail.
Online whisky communities have already started discussing the new releases, with early conversations focusing on the city-inspired maturation styles, premium pricing strategy, and the growing trend toward non-age-statement travel retail exclusives within the Scotch whisky industry.
